Connecting Chambers Across the State
The Utah Association of Chambers serves as a coordinating entity for chambers of commerce throughout Utah. It connects Utah’s family of chambers into a “chamber of chambers” that promotes Utah’s business climate by sharing information and collaborating on business events, training and advocacy. The membership includes the broad array of chambers throughout the state, including statewide, regional, community and ethnic chambers of commerce. Each entity maintains its own identity, finances and services to members, but shares resources, information and best practices to help achieve the common goal of a more prosperous Utah.
The Utah Association of Chambers has been an invaluable resource for both our chamber and for me as a chamber CEO. The tools, resources, and connections have helped our chamber elevate the level of service we offer our members and has allowed us to be better informed.
Being part of the Utah Association of Chambers has been an informative, productive and rewarding experience. Being new to Utah, it has provided me with an incredible opportunity to get to know my colleagues and counterparts in other parts of the state.
My first UAC Conference was one week after my first day on the job as the President & CEO of the Cache Valley Chamber. I learned so much from this conference and every one that I have attended since. Meeting the other Chamber leaders from around the state was the beginning of many friendships and so much shared knowledge.
My colleagues in leadership positions across the state are knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to their respective communities and to our collective mission as chambers of commerce. When we get together I always come away with greater insight into how I can improve our local business community and take care of our chamber members even better.
Nothing is more powerful for a business’ success than increasing its market share through personal connection with other businesses. Chambers deliver incredible networking and training opportunities, all while having fun in the process. The UAOC creates incredible opportunities for all of us to learn from each other about “what works.”
